the feedback..

the feedback given by Prof. Dr Maznah for two weeks has given me ideas on how to make use the IWB..anyway, it is not that easy for me to create the activities..but the activity made should base on the models and the techniques available too, for instance ADDIE model..this is crucial for the teacher to know the learners' characteristics and how far the activities made could help the pupils to learn..it should not be only interesting for the sight of the teacher..it should be creative but yet simple in a way that it could be done by the pupils..there are so many things that should be cosidered by the teacher including the font used, the size, the clear pictures and so on..i am glad that we are given another week to improve our activities so that we have more time to edit some of the works to make it suitable to be used in the classroom..

i should say that i'm quite lucky to learn about photo editing in resources class..this is because it is helpful for me in order to edit the pictures that i used in my IWB project..using IWB require great patience that i have to try out so many tools first before starting off my worksheets..preparation is vital before you embark your journey right?it i sapplicable in here too..but i love the chances for it beneficial for me later in school..looking at others works impress me too..how i realize that now people are full of zeal to complete their work..including me =)

my group has assigned each of us with different subjects for the smartboard..i am going to focus on 'The basic needs of Plants' for my smartboard exercices..Science?? yeah..surely..it might be difficult for me though..but i will give it to the fullest for my second assignment..why i choose the basic needs of plants?i think that it is suitable to be used with IWB so that pupils can see the relation within the basic needs of the living things..it leads them to distinguish the basic needs of animals and humans and the basic needs of plants..i am sure that it is quite easy to use my own creativity for i could find lots of beatiful pictures of plants to be utilized..so i really hope that the task sheet suits the level of the pupils as well as to beguile them to use the IWB..

using smartboard to create a task sheet??whoa..how it would be like? but the assignment 3 will be a big challenge for me.. i dont really know how certain tools work..but the guide given is very helpful and the software itself is easily used..so i need plenty of time to explore and get used of the functions so that i can a virtual intercative worksheets..the most prominent part is to teach clearly to the pupils of the use of IWB and to make every input in the slide is understandable and not merely attractive..

the video assignment is a really new thing for me..this is my first try that i think is not that good..
teh pictures are blurred..but at least i give it a try..i faced with so many problems in the making of the video..first, i was thinking of what kind of materials needed..comparing with others i think that they have more creative ideas rather than me..so i decided to grab my brother digital camera to record it on my own and find out picture from the net to facilitate the making process..

The development of technology assists the teachers in creating a very useful website for the purpose of getting abreast with the modern technology in order to disseminate knowledge to not only the teachers and the future teachers but also to the society especially to the parents. From my point of view, the websites, for instance EduwebTV, CikguNet,Etems and MOE will assist the parents to know more about teaching profession and give the opportunities to the teacher themselves to share their experiences in current teaching. The way of sharing ideas via the internet has brought people to the new world of teaching and learning for most of the time the activities carried out and the results, including the future activities and plans of activities will be posted in order to let other people getting updated and understand the purpose of certain activities. If they feel anxious with certain activities, they will get chances to get things clear by joining the forum and chat with those who are accountable to the particular activities. other than that, the forum will further help both parties to discuss of the strengths and weaknesses of certain activities so that the activities that are going to be carried out will be satisfactory to everyone that it will contribute to the betterment of the students.

Today, we were introduced with the ASSURE Model and ADDIE Model. Both of the models are beneficial in designing material in teaching and learning process. ASSURE that is the abbreviation for Analyze learners, State objectives, Select instructional methods, media, and materials, Utilize media and materials, Require learner participation and Evaluate and revise and ADDIE stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation provide us guidelines in creating the materials that we are going to exploit in the classroom that suit the needs, interests, and level of proficiency. It is crucial for the teachers to develop the most appropriate learning environment for the students so that they can ensure active participation of all pupils and knowledge dissemination. Nevertheless, getting to know the learners’ characteristics is rather important for it is the base of designing effective materials. It is very much related to assessment process whereby, teacher can observe the performance of the learners by carrying out on-the-run assessment in order to know the target audience notably their prior knowledge, skills, and attitudes. I think that the assessment process is the best way for the teachers to know the students overall characteristics as well as their competencies in certain areas so that the result will indicates what materials that are suitable to be used in particular classroom. Since there are ranges of materials and media available, such as images, smartboard, audio and videos, teachers have lots of choices to select and bring it to class and then teach. But the most prominent things are preparation, creativity and effort!!
