video project commences..

Today we can commence on developing our new video project. I am elated that my topic and objective have been approved. It’s quite challenging for me for this is my first time to come up with my own video using my creativity. I am a bit nervous to start off because I keep thinking of the way of organizing the video so that it suits the level of pupils that I have chosen and how to make it mesmerizing to the young learners so that it will enhance their motivation to get used to the use of technology in teaching and learning process. I want them to not only to deepen their knowledge on technology but embrace it so that they will know how the technology works. The selection of resources used is salient to avoid the pupils from misinterpreting the pictures in a wrong way and they get the input. I said that it is challenging because the use of video might distracts their sight towards the main focus in such a way they may get too interested by ignoring the focus. Therefore, I have to create the video diligently so that I can achieve my learning objectives.
I think the grouping for this project is somehow may help me in term of editing the video. Even though the task set should be completed individually, it shows that how generating the video needs more than one person to exchange ideas to make it possible for each of the member to get clear overview of fixing it collaboratively. The discussion made will also enhance the quality of the videos in such a way that it serves each of the members with beneficial consultation of the members and allow each of us to be creative and innovative at the same time keeping abreast with the technology as a whole group. I am also thinking of the strategies that I will use in order to attract the young learners. There are a variety of strategies that can be utilized such as story telling, narration, comedy, drama, illustration, cartoons, songs, and so on. It is significant for teachers to use the materials that will engage pupils fully in the activity because the more they participate in the activity the more they will learn. Thus, I will figure out the most intriguing activity so that it may assist them to learn as well as enjoy the activity so that the language focus can be consolidated at ease. Lastly, I hope that my group members, Hafizah, Safrina, Hidayah and Sakinah are willing to help each other and cooperate throughout the process in order to share their technical know-how of creating, producing and editing video in order to keep pace with the technology era.

From my point of view, technology has gigantic impact on education notably on students’ learning and teachers’ teaching and learning. The next generation learning does not only focus on students’ learning but the world citizens as a whole. Technology brings about gadgets that assist people to facilitate their life and to look at the world as a wide variety space in term of socialization and imparting new knowledge that might have never come across of their thoughts.

First and foremost, the technology tempts the students and encourages them to get to know about the technology itself profoundly as it serves them with a range of exciting packages. For instance, the existence of the computer, laptop, LCD and not forgetting Smartboard that require them to be technology literate especially whenever they want to turn on the equipments and even to fix it from one to another. Most probably, the new items will foster the students to pay attention throughout the learning session in order to be part of technology that they may impress on how certain buttons works and how the screen displays beautiful pictures. It is definitely that no one wants to be left out from the journey of exploration of the technology since it provides them with promising and beneficial learning.

Then, students will be able to explore the use of the equipments that ease their learning such as Microsoft word, Microsoft Power Point and other mesmerizing parts of it. They will get the opportunity to learn something new by incorporating colorful clip arts and using animated pictures, for example, in science, whereby they are shown steps of the growth of a butterfly. The learning will be more memorable for they are able to associate the knowledge they obtained as well as they get the whole picture of the process that will enhance their understanding. Instead of using stationary to write, they will be able to use both of their hands to type their ideas. Things will get easier with the use of LCD that they will be able to share their ideas with the whole class.

The variety of internet sources such as website and blogs will help the students to keep abreast with the current technology, thereby, they can browse the academic websites that will help them to add on their knowledge in particular realms, for instance by referring to educational portal. Chances are they become more developed generation than before are high for they will be able to disseminate their personal views and figure out other people work or get others’ comment on their works. How lucky they are to live in the technology community.

Hence, as a teacher, I’ll ensure me myself to be updated with the contemporary way of learning using the technology so that I will be able to lead the new generation and provide them with the variety of sources and range of technology usage in order to gain massive knowledge in beneficial way.

my life and technology..

i dont mind calling myself a technology dummy..yes, i am..my first time blogging??yeah!! but thank God that now i've got the opportunity to get to know these things..i figure out it's grossly tantalizing..i want to learn more about technology..to be part of it and dont want to be left out anymore..but at the same time i need people to help me out to get things right..seriously i dont know how to edit videos, to fix the LCD and even to use it..i dont know how to make the animation works well and many more..i really think that school students nowadays are so lucky to know how the technology works so that later on they can make use of this..so now i want to commence my learning of technology and work very hard to pile up my knowledge in technology that i can lead the new generation and to ease my daily life and theirs..
